Community
Levin
Computers is supportive of various
organizations that benefit our community, especially in the areas of
disability.
We
support these organizations in three main areas:
1)
Free advertising through our computer display advertising program.
Organisations
can use this service to advertise their events/fundraisers to the
greater
community through our window advertising promotional display and
captive shop audiences.
Come in and discuss this with us.
2)
Discounts
on computer systems and software to charitable and community service
organizations.
3)
Sponsorship and Support, including;
- meeting
the camp cost of a "buddy" support
person to
enable a person confined to a wheel-chair to attend a camp.
-
supplying an insulin infusion
pump to a person with severe diabeties as Mid Central Health were
unable to find
funding.
- Other
areas of involvement
have been working with
people with a mental health illness in assisting them to learn basic
computing.
The
directors of Levin
Computers are also members of
the New Zealand Foundation of the Blind and former members
of the
Horowhenua Hospital Chaplancy Team based in Kimberley.
